Sandyford

Sandyford is ideally located just a short stroll away from Newcastle City Centre where you will find an array of bars, pubs, restaurants and Eldon Square shopping mall. The quayside is also not far which hosts a popular market on a Sunday morning, as well as being able to take in the sights of the Tyne, Millennium and swing bridge. Take a walk over the millennium bridge and you’ll find the Sage music venue and the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.

The benefits of living in Sandyford is that you are just outside of the City Centre and Jesmond but with a more affordable rent. You are also still close enough to relish the local amenities the areas have to offer as well as Sandyford’s own. Just off Sandyford Road is the stylish As You Like It bar which offers food and drink with a fabulous cocktail menu and over the road is Mr Lynch, which is part of the same group and offers the same. Both venues host live bands and a night out there is well recommended.

Jesmond dene is just a short walk away, with lots of greenery and is lovely to relax and sunbathe when it’s nice and hot. The area is big enough to play a variety of sports activities as well as there being pet’s corner and a relaxing walk through the dene.

Transport links into the City Centre run regularly and are easy accessible.

 

Heaton

Heaton is a fantastic area and can offer a lot to a student, professionals and families. The typical style of property in the area is Victorian terraced and the rental amount can vary depending on how high or low your budget is.

You can rent a property located in the heart of all your required amenities on Heaton or Chillingham Road. There are supermarkets, hairdressers, cafes, restaurants and pubs which can offer a more relaxed ambiance.

For those who are into their fitness, there are plentiful activities available. The East End Pool and Leisure Centre is within walking distance and offers a variety of memberships and facilities to suit individual requirements as well as other local gyms offering different memberships. You also have Heaton Park which has tennis courts, football spaces and a large area of green space ideal for sunbathing.

There are great transport links with a wide-range of bus services operating in and around Newcastle on a regular basis. There is also Chillingham Road Metro station and the majority of university campuses are within walking distance.

 

Jesmond

Jesmond is the sought after area with professionals and students. Osbourne Road runs through the centre of Jesmond and hosts a selection of excellent bars and restaurants giving you a great social life on your door step. Jesmond also has its own swimming pool, Library, gyms, supermarkets and a vast number of specialised boutiques.

Jesmond Dene is a fantastic place to go for a stroll and take in fresh air offering fantastic views. The Dene has a a small stream called the ousburn and located in the vicinity is a coffee shop and pets corner.

There are two metro stations in Jesmond offering great transport links.
